BATUT/SUC VERD D'ENCIAM I MELÓ:
SUMMER SMOOTHIES/JUCIES!
I’ve recently seen that “green smoothies” turned into a fashion, so today I’ve brought you one of these. These smoothies are characterized by having much more veggies tan fruit, so that they have a lot of chlorophyll. They are usally used for cleansing or revitalizing diets, so that they dont’t use to have milk or more sugar than de fruits one. Even that, I use to make them just because I like to, so I sometimes use honey, or rice milk, or whatever I feel like adding.
The other smoothie is a seasonal caprice, in this case made with blackberries from the garden ^^
LETTUCE AND MELON SMOOTHIE:
The recipe is based just on washing and cutting all the ingredients and mixing them in a blender. I’ve used around 6 leaves of lettuce and 2 slices of melon, to make a glass like the one in the foto.
Depending on the ingredients and your tastes, you can add spices, milks, sugar, ice or nuts as you like.
BLACKBERRIES AND OATS SMOOTHIE:
I’ve used around 1 or 2 cups of cleaned blackberries, ½ cup of soya milk, a tablespoon of honey, 3 tablespoons of oat flakes and one tbsp of almond flour. After mixing all the ingredients in a blender, I’ve sprinkled the smoothie with some cinnamon and chopped almonds. The result is very nourishing, with a nice balance between fibre and vegetal protein –and also very sweet and tasty!-.
PD: As I had some bluberries left, I’ve boiled them with a little bit of honey and put them in chocolates moldes in the freezer. They’re so cute, light, and cool...! You can also make them with the smoothie's leftovers :)
